horizontal lines = strings (thickest line represents low E)
numbers = fret number
shaded numbers = new accidental (i.e., sharp note)

i = index finger
m = middle finger
r = ring finger
p = pinky

H = hammer-on (hammer your finger onto the note with the "H" written over it)
P = pull-off (pull your finger off the note with the "P" written over it)

h = half step (one fret)
w = whole step (two frets)
/ = bend the string up as you sound the note
\ = bend the string up, then sound the note as you unbend the string
- = slide your finger from one note to the next
