VOICE/EAR TRAINING
Introduction: In this lesson, you will learn the singing-by-syllables method of practicing scales called solmization (tonic sol-fa system invented by Guido d'Arezzo [A.D. 980-1050]). Use this technique to develop perfect pitch in any key, or simply listen to the scales for ear training purposes. Scales were recorded in the middle "C" position (i.e., 3rd octave) on the keyboard at a tempo of 90 beats per minute. Instrument is tuned to standard pitch (440 CENT or 0 Hz). Select your lesson from the pull-down menu below. |
